We are so excited to share a recap of our Spring 2017 Fount Workshop with you here on the brand new blog! This past April, we met a group of the most wonderful attendees at the exquisite Serenbe Inn for an unforgettable, one of a kind workshop experience for photographers of motherhood. This was our third annual sold-out workshop that we have hosted, and in so many ways we believe it was the best one yet. There is something so special about this workshop experience, and every year it completely blows us away with how incredible our attendees are!
Our creative team this year consisted of Fount Founder & motherhood photographer Tiffany Farley, fine art film photographer Rylee Hitchner, purveyor of paper goods and designer Abany of Brown Linen Design, and business strategist and financial coach Shanna Skidmore. (and a huge thank you to alumni attendee Anne Miller who served as our logistics coordinator this year- she really held the entire event together!)
One of our favorite parts about pulling together a recap post on the blog is sharing some of our talented attendee images that they created during their experience, which we have included here today, including images created during our styled portfolio building shoots, photographs of our beautiful venue, behind the scenes, and more!

“I have so many favorite elements of the Fount Workshop experience, it’s difficult to choose just one to highlight! But one thing that definitely sticks out for me as I thought about it, is the encouragement to have your own vision as an artist. I love that Rylee and I can photograph the exact same shoot with a completely unique eye. I love that the art of being a mother is really the focus of each shoot, over striving to have the same editing actions, or the same film stock. Our images will be different for the same subject and scene, and we really celebrate and appreciate that! We always learn something from each other, and our goal is the same for every single one of the attendees. We want them to feel inspired to learn from others who are creating around them, but not ever walk away feeling “less than”, or question that they too can see the world in an invaluable, one of a kind way, and that’s truly what makes their art so beautiful.” –Tiffany Farley

“It has been an honor and such a humbling experience to be a part of this workshop alongside Tiffany and the team for a couple years now. I truly believe that this workshop is the first of its kind and paves the path for a real encounter for artists who are passionate about capturing the journey of motherhood and hungry to learn more. It is an experience like none other. Every year I am asked to contribute, I find that I am actually the one learning and growing- becoming captivated and inspired by such a life-giving team and beautiful group of photographers. The honesty, creativity, and encouragement you receive in these few days of rest, recharge, and inspiration will transform your life, and in turn, your business.” -Abany Bauer of Brown Linen Design.

“I not only gained valuable knowledge from the workshop coordinators about how to more effectively run my business, but I also gained priceless confidence in my worth as a photographer and business owner. When running a business and having a family, the balancing act can be exhausting and discouraging. The support and genuine love from these women is so powerful. I also loved the different perspectives from each speaker. I took away so many new ideas that I now put into practice with my business and loved the fellowship with other like-minded women.” – Hazel & Haze Photography

“The Fount Collective Workshop was so worth the investment. Not only did I have the opportunity to learn from the best of the best, but I had the chance to meet and connect with other photographers. I left the workshop with new knowledge, inspiration, and a sense of community that I had never had before.” – Rebecca Thornton

“The Fount Workshop was a fabulous workshop held in the most beautiful, and tranquil Inn in a place where time literally pauses. You’re surrounded by such a captivating and inspiring environment that is true to the Fount brand. The speakers were full of insightful information on how to define a brand that is truly your own, how to design unique and meaningful sessions with your clients, how to tell a story with your images instead of words, and so many other amazing details to help you take your work and client experience from simple portraits into luxury fine art.”- Reaj Roberts Photography
