Being pregnant has been such a special season in our lives that there was absolutely no question that we would want to capture that with photographs and that we wanted Lisa to be our photographer. She had previously done our engagement and wedding photos so we already had a relationship with her. We loved the idea of having her capture all these amazing milestones in our lives. Having the existing relationship already, we were so comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole process and it resulted in absolutely beautiful photographs. Our experience having these photos done was so wonderful and allowed us to really bond and appreciate the journey through pregnancy that we have been on together. For me, carrying a baby has been a beautiful and amazing experience that was perfectly captured in the photos. I will be forever grateful that Lisa was able to capture this part of our life so flawlessly. Motherhood is something that I am absolutely looking forward to and am so excited for our little one to arrive. This is our first baby so I feel that this pregnancy is just one tiny part of the amazing journey ahead! The experience of carrying a baby, and just knowing that you are creating a little person, has been absolutely wonderful and totally indescribable. It is something that I could never have understood until going through it myself. My favorite part has been being able to feel our little one kicking and moving around. It is one of the wonderful parts of pregnancy that can really be shared with my husband and allows it all to be real for him. For us, the journey has not always been easy. We did have the unfortunate experience of losing our first pregnancy around 10 weeks. That was something we had never expected or really even considered could happen. Sadly, it is something that happens to many women and it is not often talked about or well known. We focused on the positives and understood that our loss was something that was completely out of our control. Fortunately, we were able to conceive not long after our loss and things have been very smooth this time around. Having experienced a loss has made this pregnancy very special for us. I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to carry our baby and am so excited and anxious to become a mother in a few short weeks! I know the real journey is just about to begin and that there will be many wonderful, and challenging, moments and experiences for us going forward as we get to see our little one develop and grow into their own person!” Kendra, Expectant Mother
Kendra and Chris are past wedding clients of mine and two people who are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. From the two of them I have witnessed attentiveness, patience, playfulness, tenderness, confidence, and ample love. Being a mother of two little girls I get so much joy out of seeing other women enter motherhood. We, as mothers, have this special “knowing.” We know all of the fears and anxieties and questions that surround bringing a precious life into the world. We know the incredible feeling of a sweet little life moving inside of you and the incredible changes that the female body endures.
