“This was one of many motherhood sessions I had taken with Justine. Not only is she an extremely talented photographer, but I am honored to call her a good friend. My husband and I moved to Florida three years ago not knowing anyone and having no friends. I met Justine at the school I began working at soon after moving and there was instant friendship! She has been there since day one as we began our little family, persistently persuading me to capture both the maternity and motherhood journey along the way. I was planning to forego these pictures altogether since I am a person who hates getting her picture taken. Justine is so easy to work with and has always made me feel comfortable in my own body, though, so it is worth it. Unlike other sessions, this just so happened to be our last one together before Justine made her move back home to the Midwest. It was also a very special time as my little boy was about to turn ONE! I had been fortunate enough to stay home with Colin for the past year, but knowing that special time was coming to an end broke my heart. Soon the days would be filled with the craziness of drop-off and pick-up at daycare, packing lunches, and all that comes with being a working parent. I felt like that special bond we had created between mother and son was about to change. It was only right to capture these sweet moments, in the exact place I had my first maternity shoot with Colin in my belly. Phillipe Park in Safety Harbor, FL was the destination. Being in that park took my mind back to the days when I dreamed about being his mother and holding him in my arms. I had no idea how motherhood would change my life for the better.  Motherhood has been intimidating, exhilarating, exhausting, trying, joyful, empowering… but most of all, rewarding! Watching my husband laugh and play with our boy is wonderful, but there is something so special knowing that I am the only one who can comfort him when he is hungry. Those sweet moments while nursing are like no other, providing stillness and tranquility. I think that is what I will miss the most as my baby grows. I have been fortunate to stay home with Colin this past year. Reflecting back, most days while he napped, I would skip the chores to lay and watch him sleep. There is nothing more rejuvenating than listening to those little puffs of air as he breathes and seeing those chubby arms spread out across the bed. I find myself taking advantage of every moment these days, whether stress-filled or joyous, as I know these times will only be a memory as years continues to fly by.” Lauren, Mother Motherhood Photography by Justine Wright and featured on The Fount Collective, a lifestyle publication and community devoted to the art of being a mother._0002 Motherhood Photography by Justine Wright and featured on The Fount Collective, a lifestyle publication and community devoted to the art of being a mother._0003

“Lauren and I crossed paths a couple of years ago through work and have since become dear friends. She found out she was pregnant with her son, Colin, just as I was beginning to delve deep into photography, and with a little convincing, she allowed me to capture her season of expectancy. Once her son was born, I was able to capture other special in-between milestones (first Christmas, six months, etc.). Lauren has this down-to-earth personality that I’ve always found to be soothing, so naturally, photographing her is a breeze. This session was particularly special as it would be our last session together before I moved cross country! I absolutely adore capturing relationships and love of all kind – but motherhood is something special, as I firmly believe that there isn’t a love quite as pure or unconditional as that shared between mother and child. Being able to witness (and capture) soft kisses on foreheads, belly tickles, and completely authentic, in-between giggles fills my heart. You can’t force these moments, but when they unravel naturally… it’s pure magic.” Justine, PhotographerMotherhood Photography by Justine Wright and featured on The Fount Collective, a lifestyle publication and community devoted to the art of being a mother._0005 Motherhood Photography by Justine Wright and featured on The Fount Collective, a lifestyle publication and community devoted to the art of being a mother._0012 Motherhood Photography by Justine Wright and featured on The Fount Collective, a lifestyle publication and community devoted to the art of being a mother._0011 Motherhood Photography by Justine Wright and featured on The Fount Collective, a lifestyle publication and community devoted to the art of being a mother._0010 Motherhood Photography by Justine Wright and featured on The Fount Collective, a lifestyle publication and community devoted to the art of being a mother._0009 Motherhood Photography by Justine Wright and featured on The Fount Collective, a lifestyle publication and community devoted to the art of being a mother._0008 Motherhood Photography by Justine Wright and featured on The Fount Collective, a lifestyle publication and community devoted to the art of being a mother._0007 Motherhood Photography by Justine Wright and featured on The Fount Collective, a lifestyle publication and community devoted to the art of being a mother._0006
