“Creating just the perfect space for our babies is so important to mommas. We are intentional about the space in which we bring our babies home and raise them. Designing that space takes time, thought, and attention to detail. This recent newborn session by Liz Novi Photography included such stunning images of the nursery, that we knew we needed to have a separate post just for the nursery, its details, and the inspiration it can provide for other mommies-to-be. We hope you enjoy this thoughtfully planned, gorgeous nursery as much as we did!” The Fount Editorial Team
“When I found out I was pregnant I knew that whatever gender God blessed me with that I would create the sweetest, most southern and traditional nursery for that gender. As a boutique owner, (my sister and I co-own a clothing boutique, Pieces, Clothing and Accessories), I know the joy and excitement of searching for just the right pieces to bring a vision to life. The Jenny Lind crib was my starting point. I have always loved Peter Rabbit for a baby boy’s nursery so as soon as I found out I was having a boy I went with it and never looked back. I wanted it to be soft and sweet, and, of course, baby blue. I was dying for shiplap on the main wall and was so happy when my husband and father-in-law installed it themselves! They definitely delivered! I know my sweet Logan will only be little for so long and I wanted his nursery to reflect that. I wanted bunny art over the crib but didn’t want to spend a fortune because I knew in a couple of years it would most likely change. I hunted for several months and finally found the prints that now live above his crib on Etsy. I also knew I wanted to incorporate the “You Are My Sunshine” nursery rhyme somehow. My Mom always sang that to us as children, and it is something special I wanted for Logan. When I found the prints on Etsy I had to have them! Lotus, the shop owner, did a wonderful job of matching the blue ink color for my nursery!
When I enter this room every day it makes my heart sing because I love the precious angel that it belongs to more than he will ever know!” Lacy, Mother
