“Motherhood was and is the biggest dream I’ve ever had. It’s hard to explain it but I always knew I had been called to be a mother. It was always important to me to find a loving partner to embark in this journey with. I studied, built my career, traveled, grew up and met Michael, my husband. I was over the moon when we decided it was time to grow our family; I have to confess I couldn’t think about anything else the months that followed. Pregnancy taught me patience, faith, and to love all the changes my body was going through to grow a human being. Labor and delivery taught me what giving all of yourself for another person feels like. Motherhood is teaching me how much love and devotion we are capable of giving and how something can be so hard and incredibly rewarding at the same time. I wouldn’t change a thing of the imperfect beautiful mess that my motherhood journey has been so far. Today I look at my mother and those mothers around me with profound respect; this is the hardest and yet the most fulfilling job I’ve ever had.
The maternity session was so intimate and special not only because it was in our home but also because Valentina is a wonderful photographer and like a sister to me. I wanted her to be the one to capture this transformative and beautiful event in our lives, our first baby. I was excited to have a sweet memory of my pregnancy and the journey of motherhood. The photos she captured brought me so much joy; she was able to freeze in her frame the delicate moments of feeling my daughter inside my belly and that feeling of anticipation to meet her little face. She captured the love pouring from our hearts for our little girl.” Diana, Expectant Mother
“Diana and I met when we were in high school and we have been best friends ever since. Babies seemed like such far away thought when we were in our teens. But time flies and here we are, 16 years later, both of us are moms. After going through so much together, it was so sweet getting to photograph this session of her, glowing in her pregnancy as she awaits her baby girl.” Valentina, Photographer
