“As I reflect on my journey to motherhood, one of my favorite quotes comes to mind, “Time was a funny and fickle thing. Sometimes there was never enough of it, and other times it stretched out endlessly.” Like so many women, I found myself in the quiet wait for motherhood far longer than I could’ve ever imagined. Those excruciating months of “no” seemed to come like clockwork and I wished for the days to pass as quickly as possible so we could have another chance at “yes”.
Our whole world changed when we finally heard those three little letters we had waited to long for. My entire pregnancy seemed to go by in a flash; it felt like I blinked and before I knew it, I was holding my son in my arms. And ever since, despite being intentional about every minute with our sweet boy, time still seems to be slipping through my fingers. As a photographer myself, I truly believe that pictures are the best way to make time stand still, even if only for a moment. I asked Laura, to capture these beautiful, fleeting memories as a way to always be able to look back — our son is growing right before our eyes and while I don’t wish to slow it down, I never want to forget.” Alicia, Mother
“I had the pleasure of documenting a beautiful journey of Baby Landon and his new family. I photographed his gorgeous mother, Alicia, while she was expecting, his newborn portraits and now him at three months. Alicia wanted some beautiful, intimate portraits showcasing their love and bond for one another during this special time in their lives.” Laura, Photographer
