“Being a mother of two sweet girls, I know how precious our photographs together are. Whether it’s seeing how my daughters light up when they flip through our albums, how my oldest laughs and creatively tells the story behind each photo to her little sister, or how my girls treasure those daily captured moments no matter how chaotic and messy our life gets, in their eyes, any photo we take together is flawless – and to me, that’s priceless. Those photos tell our story, they illustrate our love, and that’s the gift I am honored to give to my clients.

This is why I love photographing motherhood, I want every mother to be able to look back with her children and see the joy and tender admiration in their eyes, despite those endless days that are sometimes messy or full of hard moments. Those moments – those quick and fleeting moments – make our entire journey worth it. I hope to freeze those moments, capturing a mother’s love and just how extraordinary and beautiful this life with her babies really is.

This is what inspired me during my shoot with Lauren, owner of Lauren Bryant Photography. I wanted to photograph her love for her children and honor her family’s story inside their own home. In her own words, “There’s beauty in everyday moments of motherhood… you don’t have to look past the tears and chaos to find it. It’s simple and raw and always present.” I could see how beautiful and effortless those moments just being with her babies were, even as I stood quietly in the background.
