“I love looking at pictures of my mother when she was pregnant with me and I wanted to be able to provide that same keepsake for myself and my daughter.  When my husband and I got married last year we knew we wanted children and we were very open to life’s timing, whenever that might be; the moment we found out we were expecting a baby we were filled with immense joy for this new season of our lives. I honestly feel motherhood is a vocation we are called to. As women, our bodies are made for the most incredible, life giving miracle. Motherhood is so beautiful and rewarding but it also presents its challenges. “Kaitlyn and Derek are a former wedding couple, so our relationship spans the last couple of years from their engagement session onward. It’s so special to work with the same couple again as they mark another milestone together – starting a family. Their little girl is eagerly anticipated and the love that this couple has for each other really comes through in these images.  Family is a huge priority for every motherhood session I photograph, just as it is for myself personally. Because of this, I look for the sweet and tender moments of motherhood to shine through in the photos.
