“Although I’ve only had my daughter for a month, I’ve been a mother for quite some time. A few years ago, my husband and I were surprised to learn we were expecting our first child. We were only able to enjoy that excitement for a short time, before we lost the baby. While that was a devastating time for us, it has allowed to me enjoy every bit of my new journey of motherhood with our daughter. The small and even bigger frustrations or struggles of pregnancy and having a newborn aren’t an issue when you’re so grateful for what you have. Every smile, cry, bath time, and even diaper change is truly a gift to us. Motherhood has been so transformative for me and has already taught me to be present in the moment and be remain grateful for the incredible privilege of becoming my daughter’s mother.
Our experiences with Hannah in taking maternity and newborn photos has been so special to us. We loved her fun personality and gentle direction to make sure we felt comfortable and enjoyed each session. We wanted to capture this moment in our lives because while it is a precious time, it is also fleeting. We wanted to remember these moments forever, and in the future be able to look back at how our little family has grown or changed.” Morgan, Expectant Mother
“Some families you meet and you know they are going to be some of your forever families. Morgan & Ben were one of these. From the moment we met, I knew these two were not only crazy about each other but already so in love with their precious daughter. This makes my job so easy because their love is so natural to capture. They were sweet. They joked around. Ben made Morgan laugh countless times. I am so beyond happy that they are now parents to the beautiful Livy. As a mom (and photographer), I spend every single day taking hundreds of photos of my child. It’s the world we live in right? Yet, whenever I get to be in a photo with my son, it makes me so happy. No matter what I thought of myself that day (no makeup, didn’t eat great, just tired) I was there with my son having a moment with him. This is what I want to capture. The real moments, the quiet moments, the crazy moments, the moments of anticipation for a baby not yet born and the moments when they arrive, especially those first few days of life. In these moments I get to really see mom. I get to really see dad. I get to see how much they love each other and their children. This makes my heart so full and I am so blessed that my families choose me as their forever photographer.” Hannah, Photographer
