“I met Charmenie a few years back when Edmond, her husband, contacted me to capture their engagement session in the beautiful Southern Highlands (Papau, New Guinea). Over the years, I’ve developed a friendship with them as we have been through so many milestones together, dating back to their engagement, their registry signing, their weddings in Sydney and Japan, this maternity session and their new born session recently! This maternity session was very intimate and special not only because it was captured in a beautiful cottage but also because Charmenie and Edmond are such wonderful human beings and that I’ve been so lucky to see them grow over the years. I wanted to capture this transformative and beautiful event in their lives, to help Charmenie have sweet memories of her pregnancy and the journey of motherhood. She was just glowing in her pregnancy as she awaited her baby girl, Isla Rose…”

I find photographing motherhood fulfilling because it allows me to collect the memories that mothers may not realize are happening, as a result of being caught up in her motherly moments.
