“I believe that my motherhood journey started 4.5 years ago when we found out we were pregnant, but sadly ended way before we were ready. You see, motherhood starts in our hearts before we even meet or lay eyes on our babies. I don’t know why my journey took so long or why we had to go through so many hard days, but the day we found out we were pregnant with our little miracle baby, it made all the hard days worth it. Our journey taught me patience, courage and most importantly faith.
Rainbow baby is a term given to a baby after a miscarriage because a rainbow usually shows up after a storm. Our little rainbow baby was arriving in the summer and I thought it was fitting for our newborn session to be captured outside on the beach on a sunny day. My husband and I are surfers and we fell in love on the beach and we wanted our story captured where it all started. I am so grateful for our journey and if I had to rewrite it, I would not change a thing. It was in the waiting that a lot of really beautiful things were birthed and it ultimately led us to our son Oliver B.” Jennifer, Mother
“Jennifer, the mother, is a local talented photographer and we were humbled when she contacted us to photograph her newborn session- we were even more excited when she mentioned having the session photographed by the ocean. This was our first newborn session not in the comfort of our client’s home and it was so special once we heard the Mother’s story as to why she chose to have her son’s session oceanside. In Florida, the weather is always unpredictable, so we were unsure if it would be too hot for the baby but everything was perfect. There was a nice breeze and the warm sunlight was perfect and seemed to wrap this family in it’s glow.
Being parents ourselves has truly revolutionized how we view our work and value each and every photograph- photographing fleeting moments and special relationships between mother and babe is something we love experiencing.” Chelsi, Photographer
