“Motherhood is sweet. Motherhood is selfless. Motherhood is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and I’ve done some pretty hard things in my life. However, hands down, it truly is the most rewarding, most gratifying and soul nurturing thing I could ever experience. It’s messy, yet it’s soothing for the soul. It’s exhausting, yet it’s rejuvenating for the heart. Motherhood is all together beautiful…
Many families like to capture their first memories with their baby in newborn photos. All snuggled up, cozy, sleepy eyed, and dreaming of milk. However, we chose to wait until our little one was a bit older. We especially wanted to wait until she could express her smile and punch out a toothless giggle. I am so thankful that we did, because I will forever have these sweet memories to look back on. Taking mommy-and-me photos in the Spring close to Mother’s day might be our new tradition.” Stephanie, Mother
“I mainly photograph weddings so it’s not every day I am able to capture moments in such a magical place for a mother and daughter. That is part of what made this session so special. Stephanie and sweet little Emmie where champs through the entire process. Stephanie is a kind, genuine person and brings that into the way she mothers Emmie with love and compassion. It was so inspiring to see.
Tulips can almost be a representation for motherhood. They take preparation, but come quickly during the new life of spring… and just as babies do… they grow quickly and these days go by in the blink of an eye. However, having these moments paused through imagery, with the tulips, is something that will last years to come.” Angel, Photographer
