“Taking these photographs was so special to me – A celebration of our family growing while documenting our last weeks together as a family of three before welcoming our second son. My heart swelled as Michelle captured our two year old son (who was our precious rainbow baby after recurrent losses) kissing my belly and imagining him as the sweetest big brother! This was already such a love-filled shoot for us, but I will now treasure the pictures even more than I could have imagined– The day after our photography session, my husband and I found out our baby boy has a heart condition and I was admitted to the hospital. The last few weeks have been filled with uncertainty and appointments with many different doctors, but as we near the end of this pregnancy and prepare to meet our little one over a month early, I am thankful to be feeling so much peace and hope. I look at these photographs and am filled with gratitude for our family and the gift to do everything I can for them as their mother. This is simply part of our story…

“I loved working with this sweet family and capturing these last moments soaking in the time together as a family of three. They are expecting their second baby boy, Hudson in a few short weeks. Emmett (big brother) is the cutest! He loved kissing his mama’s tummy, running around and exploring, and picking flowers for his mama. The very next day after our session together they received news their was a problem with their baby boy’s heart. When you’re given news that shakes your world, family takes on an entire new meaning of love and resilience. I believe it truly was divine timing that our session together took place when it did, so they were able to enjoy this peaceful time together before the uncertainty.
