“I’ve never had newborn pictures done before, but the older I get and the longer I practice photography, the more I value someone capturing me in a way I want to be remembered in special stages of my life. The newborn stage feels so short, especially with older children to take care of, and knowing this is our last baby I knew I needed these photographs. Ginnifer was so kind and patient with our family and I’m so grateful for these dreamy images she captured on film. I keep looking at them again and again.

I started having babies in my early twenties, long before any of my friends and in a different state from my family. Sometimes it was lonely, but it gave me the independence to figure out who I wanted to be as a mother and how I wanted to raise my children. The choices I’ve made, from home birth to attachment parenting, have all been wonderful learning experiences to nurture close relationships with each of my children. We spend most of our time together as a homeschooling family and it can become a struggle getting lost in the day-to-day duties of caring for young children. But when I slow down and seek the special in the mundane, I can simply enjoy this wild, messy stage when everyone needs me at the same time. Looking back, it always feels like it’s passing by too quickly. Motherhood is the most challenging, yet fulfilling role I’m blessed to fill. It has helped me grow alongside my children as a whole person, and I am better for it.” Hana, Mother
