“This session took place in their family’s home, because it provided beautiful, clean light. We chose this home as it had great architecture, natural light, and special meaning to mom and dad because it was a family home. We sought to capture a feeling of stillness in these images to reflect those early days and weeks after giving birth when motherhood forces you to slow down and be still with your new little one. This session was a dream to photograph! We loved working with this family as they were so calm and loving toward their children!

Motherhood is an incredible gift: The joy of loving someone more than yourself and the blessing of that love refining your heart and softening all your edges. Motherhood is hard. Really, really hard. But, oh, how beautiful it is.
