“I have two boys (ages 4 and 2) and we have never taken newborn photos. With the potential of this being our last baby, I really wanted to be able to look back at this time in our life and remember these moments with all of our kids being little. The experience was wonderful and I will cherish these photos forever!
Motherhood is hard and messy, and exhausting, but filled with so many wonderful moments. There is nothing on earth like the bond you have with your babies. Even on the days I feel like I am failing, they wrap their tiny arms around me and remind me how much they love me. We are all doing the best we can and I have learned to give myself grace and remind myself that we are exactly what our babies need!” Taylor, Mother
“This session was photographed in the client’s home and daughter’s nursery. The mother expressed wanting to capture them in an authentic way, and no better way to do that than in the comfort of their own home. She created an exquisite nursery for their daughter and wanted that showcased as well. As a third baby, and the first girl, Mom, who has a passion and incredible eye for design, created the nursery every girl mom dreams of.
She said that she “wanted her nursery to feel classic and beautiful and like a little girl’s paradise” and that was certainly what it felt like. There was no detail untouched and while she stayed away from the typical “pink” theme she managed to create the most timeless, feminine nursery I have ever stepped foot in. With gorgeous floral wallpaper covering the walls and trim to beautifully complement the wallpaper, every detail was curated with intentionality. The entire room felt like a dream. Truly a special session!
As a mother myself, the most fulfilling part about photographing motherhood is providing other moms with the gift of preserving this special season of life. As life goes on, material items will come and go and kids will grow, but very few things are able to stop you in your tracks and pause what you are doing like a photograph of days gone by. Being a part of that legacy, and the creation of the images that families cherish for a very long is such an honor. I am humbled to play my part in that for my families.” Chelsey, Photographer
